Turboblowers 150 kW – HP 4000 (Maximum capacity up to 5,000 m³/h)
Turboblowers for aeration processes
Are you looking for a reliable and energy-efficient supply of compressed air in the low-pressure range?
KAESER's PillAerator turbo blowers are compact blowers designed specifically for aeration processes. Thanks to the innovative magnetic bearings, the drive motor operates completely wear-free.
Our turbo blowers are used wherever low-pressure process air is required—in aerobic and biological wastewater treatment, as well as in fermentation and flotation applications.
Asset Information:
- 150 kW and 300 kW
- Capacity up to 16,000 m³/h
- Pressure range: 0.3 to 1.3 bar
Your Benefits
- High Energy Efficiency
The direct-drive rotor with magnetic bearings and the intelligent control system make the PillAerator turboblower exceptionally efficient. Thanks to its outstanding efficiency, it can save up to 25% in energy compared to conventional technologies. - Reliable and Safe
A comprehensive range of sensors monitors key operating conditions, such as pressure, speed, and temperature. This ensures operational reliability and a dependable supply of process air.
Maintenance-Free Drive: Contactless magnetic bearings that require no lubrication ensure completely wear-free operation. Since no oil changes or bearing replacements are necessary, maintenance is limited to replacing the air filters.
Turboblower with wear-resistant drive

The advantages of magnetic bearings are obvious:
- Oil-free
- wear-resistant
- maintenance-free
The shaft rotates constantly around its center of gravity and is therefore vibration-free. Because of its freedom of movement, no lubricants are required.
Even processes involving frequent starting and stopping are possible without wear. When the system is shut down, the shaft is guided to a stop within the magnetic field. In the unlikely event that the magnet bearing electronics fail, the shaft is held in place by safety bearings until it comes to a stop.
The motor is gas-tight and therefore cannot be contaminated by the ambient air. This significantly increases operational reliability and availability and extends the service life of the turbocharger.
Product Details
Innovative cooling concept
- The motor with magnetic bearings and the frequency converter are water-cooled
- Adjustable Air-to-Water Heat Exchanger
- Robust water-to-water heat exchanger
- Maintenance-free circulation pump
- Cooling water supply and discharge, with possible use of residual heat

Cooling via an internal water circuit ensures optimal operating conditions at all times. In addition to maintaining constant temperatures for the motor and frequency converter (thanks to speed-controlled fans), this system allows the control cabinet to be hermetically sealed.
The total residual heat can be dissipated into the cooling water rather than into the environment, eliminating the need for complex exhaust air ducts. The optional air conditioning system ensures safe turbo operation at ambient temperatures of up to 55 °C.
Always the right capacity
Thanks to the turbo blower’s stepless speed control, its capacity can be adjusted at any time to meet the specific demand. This not only makes the process very easy to carry out, but also effectively prevents energy losses caused by excessive aeration.

The interaction between the individual components, including the intelligent control system, can, under ideal conditions, achieve an efficiency of up to 80% and energy savings of up to 24%.
Betrouwbaar en veilig
PillAerator turbo blowers are fully ready-to-connect machines with mechanical, electrical, and electronic components that are designed to work together seamlessly.
Sensors continuously monitor pressure, temperature, and speed values. This ensures reliable operation of the blower and enables monitoring and visualization of operating conditions.
In the event of a power outage, a sophisticated safety process ensures that the machine stops smoothly and without wear, while the magnetic bearing remains active and fully functional.
